House of India is a pioneering project for the Indian Community and every Indian living in the United States can take pride in creating this milestone project.  After working persistently for over 15 years, things have moved along very quickly in the last five months. Here is a summary of the timeline of events:

* March 15th, 2019 – Reviewed bids received from contractors
* May 10th, 2019 – Hired Conan Construction as General Contractor
* May 15th, 2019 – Received permit from the Park and Recreation Committee
* May 24th, 2019 – Conducted pre-construction meeting with the City (heralds the construction process)
* Before end of May 2019 – Site inspection by City of San Diego
* June 2019 – Construction begins!
* July 2020 – 75% Construction complete!
* April 2021 – Construction complete & Interior Decorating begins!
* August 2021 – Cottage inaugurated by Sen Toni Atkins, Mayor Todd Gloria & Consul General of India Dr. Nagendra Prasad!

Financial Details:
* Estimated cost of the physical structure – $550,000
* Total cost of the project including interiors – $750,000
* Funds raised so far – $600,000
* Need to raise – $150,000
